Dispute puts Gazprom China pipeline on hold

Gazprom said it was delaying indefinitely plans to build a gas pipeline to China because of disagreement over price.

Alexander Ananenkov, the Russian group’s deputy chief executive, said on Wednesday “no one is talking about gas supplies to China in 2011 any more” because the two sides had failed to agree on price.
