Sir, How perfect that I came across Andrew O’Hagan’s admission that the last time he cried was while “on a plane to Los Angeles, while watching a rubbish film”(Small Talk, Life & Arts, June 7-8) while I myself was somewhere high above the Atlantic. Indeed, I had just dried my own eyes following the not-so-stunning dénouement of Duane “The Rock” Johnson’s turgid comedy The Game Plan. And I thought I was the only one prone to crying fits at 33,000ft!
