Sweden considering increases in tax

Sweden, already Europe's most heavily taxed country, is considering further tax rises to meet demands for better public services, said Pär Nuder, finance minister.

Mr Nuder told the Financial Times that an increasingly wealthy population had higher expectations for schools and healthcare and rejected the view that high taxes damaged the country's economic competitiveness.
