Gambling on a house of cards

After four years of consultation, debate and lofty promises about billion pound casino investments, the controversial gambling bill is about to get a final throw of the dice.

The legislation will soon be debated in the House of Lords and could become law by the summer, provided its progress is not thwarted by the general election.
