High command denies control freak tendencies

The Conservatives have rejected suggestions of control freakery amid signs their pre-election party conference, starting Monday, is being far more closely controlled than in earlier years.

Party strategists are acutely aware this is the first pre-election conference in opposition since 1978 where they have been the assumed general election victors.
