BBC reveals top executive salaries

A 70p parking meter claim and a £647 two-night stay in a Las Vegas casino hotel marked the extremes of expenses claimed by Mark Thompson, BBC director-general, in the first in a series of disclosures made by the corporation.

The BBC, under pressure to be more open about salaries and other remuneration, revealed on its website on Thursday the pay and business expenses of its top 107 decision-makers.
