Nokia Siemens Networks, the telecoms equipment manufacturer, on Monday expressed confidence that it would win lucrative contracts with Verizon Wireless, the leading US mobile phone operator.

Simon Beresford-Wylie, NSN’s chief executive, rejected suggestions by analysts that it could struggle to secure deals with Verizon and other US mobile operators for fourth-generation wireless network infrastructure.
