Rule Britannia: chief plots bank revolution

The picturesque village of Leek in Staffordshire seems too peaceful a place from which to plot the reinvention of the country’s troubled banking sector.

But there is little doubt that Neville Richardson, chief executive of the Leek-based Britannia Building Society, is feeling revolutionary.
