Harvey Nichols sees sales suffer

The global financial crisis is hurting Harvey Nichols, the British luxury goods retailer, Harvey Nichols with sales falling, expansion plans into eastern Europe delayed and business in the coming months impossible to predict.

Patrick Hanly, group commercial director, said the company’s stores in Dubai and Riyadh are still enjoying ‘very strong” business, but trade in the six UK shops and elsewhere has been slowing noticeably since September.
