Greggs expects £3m shortfall in profits

Poor summer weather and continued cost pressures led Greggs, the sandwiches, sausage rolls and doughnuts retailer, to warn that operating profits would be £3m lower than it had previously expected.

It also said it was cutting capital spending by 10 per cent, a move it believed prudent “in the current economic environment”.
