Domino’s profits rise 25%

Profits at Domino’s Pizza rose 25 per cent last year, beating the City’s expectations as Britain deepened its love affair with takeaways.

The company made a pre-tax profit of £23.4m in the year to December 28, while total sales rose 18.4 per cent to £350.8m. Sales in stores open more than a year rose 10 per cent, and have accelerated in the past six weeks to 15 per cent.
