ICC opens with child soldier hearings

The new International Criminal Court opened yesterday with a Congolese rebel leader being accused of "one of the most brutal and morally troubling war crimes".

A three-judge panel at the ICC is being asked to rule on whether there is sufficient evidence that Thomas Lubanga Dyilo enlisted and conscripted child soldiers for a full trial to go ahead.
