Israel ‘confiscates’ West Bank land

Israeli authorities and settlers have seized large plots of land surrounding settlements in the occupied West Bank and are blocking Palestinians from accessing them, an Israeli human rights group said on Thursday.

Citing security reasons, Israel has taken control of more than 1,100 acres of land around 12 Jewish settlements on the eastern side of the separation barrier it is building in and along the West Bank, according to a new report by B’Tselem.
