Southampton hit by credit crunch rebound

If Southampton fans had any doubts about the insolvent Championship club’s perilous future, the slashing of ticket prices for Saturday’s crunch home game with Charlton Athletic should have dispelled them.

Such is the club’s desperate need to bring in money that adults can get into St Mary’s stadium for £15 (£22), kids for a fiver.
