Land of Leather needs to pay £6m rent bill

Land of Leather abandoned talks with speculative bidders on Tuesday as it focused instead on raising enough cash to pay an impending £6m ($9m) rent bill.

The lossmaking sofa retailer said last week that it had been approached by several putative bidders. But they offered “insufficient value to shareholders”.
