Lebanon's dominant anti-Syrian coalition has started a campaign to force the country's pro-Syrian president, Emile Lahoud, from office.

Mr Lahoud is seen as the last remnant of Syria's hold over its smaller neighbour and is accused of blocking crucial reforms of the army and security services.
