Investors hoping that the financial crisis has forced companies to make annual reports slimmer and easier to navigate are likely to be disappointed by a survey released on Tuesday.
In a year when an annual report from HSBC weighed in at 470 pages, Deloitte found that on average audited financial statements from UK companies were 6 per cent longer than 12 months ago. Compared with 2005, the length of audited financial statements has increased by more than half.
