Metronet resolves contract dispute

Metronet Rail, the collapsed London Underground maintenance and upgrade contractor, took a significant step towards leaving administration after resolving a dispute over a £3.4bn contract to supply new trains and signalling.

The dispute between Metronet and Bombardier Transportation, the world’s largest trainmaker, has been the largest issue preventing Transport for London, the London Mayor’s transport organisation, from completing a takeover of Metronet.
