Lockheed Martin raises profit forecasts

Lockheed Martin, the world’s largest defence company, on Tuesday lifted its profit outlook for the year after reporting strong second quarter earnings boosted by increased sales of computer services to the US government.

The company said second quarter earnings were up 13 per cent to $882m compared with the same period last year, on sales of $11bn, a 4 per cent increase.
