FSA criticises asset managers’ poor planning

The Financial Services Authority has criticised asset management groups for poor planning and risk analysis, warning that these failures might force it to impose stricter and higher capital requirements on some companies.

The asset management sector is the latest in the financial services industry to come under pressure to increase capital cushions as a buffer against another financial crisis or further bouts of market turbulence.
