Viacom to give content to Joost

Peer-to-peer download companies are gaining traction as they compete for content deals against YouTube and other established online video sites.

Viacom, under an advertising revenue sharing deal announced on Tuesday, is to provide free video content to Joost, a new peer-to-peer online video service created by the founders of Skype.
