Returns on high-yield bonds rise 20%

High-yield bonds have been one of the best-performing asset classes this year in a sign of growing confidence among investors.

Total returns on high-yield bonds have risen nearly 20 per cent in US and European markets this year, sharply outperforming investment-grade bonds (total returns up about 2 per cent) and global equities (total returns up about 1 per cent), according to Deutsche Bank.
