Intel launches appeal over €1bn fine

Intel on Wednesday launched a legal appeal against the record-breaking €1.06bn ($1.5bn) fine handed down by Europe’s competition authorities.

The European Commission accused the world’s largest chipmaker of abusing its dominant market position and using illegal sales practices to encourage computer manufacturers to carry its micro-processor chips.
