Lloyds and Pearson help Footsie equal record run

Lloyds Banking Group was among the best performers as the London market managed to extend its winning streak to a record-equalling eleven consecutive session – but only just.

Shares in Lloyds added 6.9 per cent to 88.33p as Nomura upgraded to “buy” and set a 100p target price ahead of next Wednesday’s half year results.
