Zimbabwe opposition ‘to shun run-off’

Zimbabwe’s opposition Movement for Democratic Change has said it will not take part in a presidential run-off election, raising the stakes ahead of a summit of regional leaders who are meeting to discuss the crisis on Saturday.

President Robert Mugabe and the MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, are both attending the meeting of heads of state of the 14-member Southern African Development Community in Zambia.
