MFI considering sale of retail operations

MFI said on Friday it had received several offers to sell its retail business, prompting a steep jump in the DIY and furniture group’s share price.

The company said it had received “expressions of interest in all or part of our retail business from a number of third parties” and was considering whether any of the proposals fitted with management plans to develop the business.
