Shootings highlight fragility in south Serbia

Two Serbian policemen suffered wounds in a grenade attack early on Thursday as they patrolled a tense ethnic Albanian area near the boundary with Kosovo.

Ivica Dacic, Serbia’s deputy prime minister and interior minister, said the Balkan state would crack down firmly if extremist or terrorist groups tried to assert themselves on its territory again.
