Trader sues over £92,000 of £1.3m bonus

The backlash against overpaid City workers has not deterred a senior trader from fighting a lawsuit over his million pound-plus bonus in a case that lays bare the spoils enjoyed by top performers.

Alexandre Mouradian, head of the exchange-traded options desk at Tradition Securities & Futures, is suing the brokerage for allegedly short-changing him out of about £92,000 - while taking home a £1.32m bonus on top of a £300,000 salary for the second half of 2006.
