Endemol, the production company behind Big Brother, has bought three mid-sized rivals, Tiger-Aspect, Darlow Smithson and Tigress, for about £40m from IMG, the company said on Monday.

The deal, one of the biggest in the independent production sector this year, will make Endemol UK the biggest independent in the country in terms of sales, with revenues exceeding £250m.
