German lobbies home in on new regime

The victors of the German election, meeting this week to hammer out their policy road map for the next four years, are in the sights of Berlin’s frustrated lobbyists.

After the defunct grand coalition gave them the cold shoulder, hundreds of business interest groups in Berlin are hopeful that the new centre-right government will open its door wider to outside advice as it defines its policy agenda over the next, crucial four weeks.
