Merck diabetes drug set for US approval

Merck is expected to receive US regulatory approval as early as Monday for its new breakthrough diabetes drug Januvia.

Januvia is the first of a new type of oral diabetes drugs called DPP-IV inhibitors, which help the body to better regulate sugar and insulin production.
