Who are the Yazidis?

The Yazidis are one of a number of small religious communities, including the Shabak and Ahl al-Haq, spread across northern Iraq.

As with most Iraqi ethnic and sectarian communities, estimates of their size vary, but the Yazidis probably run into the hundreds of thousands.
