US blamed for economic gloom across the globe

The international challenges facing the next US president were spelled out in an opinion poll yesterday that indicated many countries blame Washington for their economic misfortunes, with -hostility particularly pronounced in some states with Muslim populations.

The US, meanwhile, is now less enthusiastic about trade than the other countries surveyed.
