Giuliani woos Christian vote

Rudy Giuliani, the Republican presidential hopeful, sought to reassure Christian conservatives over the weekend that he could be trusted to defend “family values” if elected to the White House.

The twice-divorced former mayor of New York admitted to mistakes in his personal life and acknowledged disagreements with the religious right over abortion and other issues. But he insisted the differences were not as great as often portrayed.
