German business fears push euro to six-month low against dollar

Mounting gloom about the German economy pushed the euro to a six-month low against the dollar yesterday as a closely watched survey showed business leaders in Europe's biggest economy more nervous about the six months facing them than at any time in the past 15 years.

The pound also fell, hitting a fresh two-year low of just over $1.83 against the dollar.
