Banking stocks weigh on Asian markets

By Reuters, October 19, 0734 GMT

Asian stocks fell on Friday with bank shares feeling the heat after mounting credit losses hit earnings at Bank of America, while expectations of another US interest rate cut knocked the dollar to a fresh record low.
