Bins can be a big issue at the ballot box

There has been a clear message at the ballot box to local politicians who dare to alter people’s bin collections – hands off .

Nowhere has this been demonstrated more clearly than in Waverley, a borough in Surrey, where the controlling Liberal Democrats had a policy of fortnightly waste collections.
