The US: A vast market opens its doors to the clever retailer

A Louis Vuitton store opened this year in Jacksonville, in northwest Florida, following on from its new store in Nashville, Tennessee. Hermes, which already has a store in Cleveland, Ohio, has joined the luxury rush to Naples, Florida. And last year, Gucci opened amid the casinos of New Jersey’s Atlantic City.

Meanwhile in New York, Bulgari has just unveiled a flagship store. And work is underway at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue on what will be Gucci’s largest global store, with three floors and 45,000 sq ft on a site formerly unsuccessfully occupied by Asprey’s, the UK luxury retailer.
