Two decades ago, Rupert Murdoch and Dow Jones were partners in China - albeit briefly.

It was November 1986 and Mr Murdoch's News Corp paid $105m for a stake in the South China Morning Post, the leading English-language daily in Hong Kong which was then part-owned by Dow Jones.
