Silverjet suspends shares amid funding crisis

Silverjet suspended trading in its shares on Friday, after failing to receive urgently needed funds from a new investor.

The all-business class airline is battling for survival in the face of the steep rise in fuel costs and mounting losses, and its two closest rivals Maxjet Airways and Eos Airlines of the US have collapsed into bankruptcy.
