Tata push for Land Rover in India

Land Rover and its parent company, Tata Motors, are in talks with India’s defence department about potential vehicle contracts in a move that could boost the ailing UK-based sports utility vehicle maker.

India’s largest carmaker also said it planned to launch the Jaguar and Land Rover consumer brands in the country next month as it reported one of its most difficult years on record after demand in its domestic market crashed last year.
