German business confidence slipped this month to its lowest since reunification of the country in 1990, but glimmers of hope have emerged that conditions will stabilise within months.
The Munich-based Ifo institute reported yesterday that its business climate index dropped from 82.6 in February to 82.1 in March, the lowest since the panGerman survey began in January 1991.
