Bombardier and Embraer hit by collapse of business jet orders

The long-established rivalry between Bombardier and Embraer is intensifying, as the Brazilian group seeks to carve itself a place among the leading makers of business jets.

It has successfully challenged the earlier supremacy of Canada’s Bombardier as a maker of regional jets (commercial aircraft of 120 seats and below), and is set on becoming a force to be reckoned with too in corporate jets, where Bombardier has long been a dominant player.
