CFO anger at banks’ refusal to loosen credit

The finance directors of Britain’s leading companies are becoming increasingly angry with banks over the poor availability and cost of credit, which they see as damaging viable businesses.

The latest quarterly survey of chief financial officers by Deloitte, the accountancy firm, found a shortage of credit was seen as the biggest problem for their businesses in 2009, followed by the state of the economy.
