World premiere of a new play from the bold American writer Christopher Shinn. Shinn has previously written uncomfortable drama about America's relationship with the Iraq War, in Dying City ; now he turns to the hot topic of the American election.

In this imaginary scenario, the Democrats are anxiously watching as the results roll in on election night. But they have reckoned without the presidential candidate's student son, John, whose antics at a party are getting into the public domain. As a team of advisors run around trying to limit the damage and persuade John to apologise, Shinn examines a host of difficult issues, such as the limits to freedom of speech and tolerance. And while the play never budges from a hotel bedroom, global tensions crowd in. But the piece also considers the fragile relationship between a father and son and the way personal and political motives become intertwined.
