FSA signs deal with police to help curb abuse

The Financial Services Authority has enhanced its ability to pursue individuals suspected of market abuse by signing a new deal with police on the use of arrest powers and search warrants.

The agreement is intended to simplify the way the City watchdog works with police during investigations into offences such as insider dealing and making false statements to the market.
