Polish premier speaks out against 'feckless' workers

Polish premier Lech Kaczynski yesterday accused Poles who work in Britain and claim unemployment benefits in Poland of being "feckless", writes Andrew Taylor.

Mr Kaczynski, speaking at a press conference in 10 Downing Street following talks with Tony Blair, said: "`We know that there are those who have succeeded in the UK and have jobs and are doing very well, thank you, especially considering the difference in wages between the UK and Poland.
