Yahoo has announced a radical new strategy to try to erode Google’s dominant position in internet search.

The Silicon Valley company said Yahoo Search Boss, which stands for Build your Own Search Service, would give third parties access to and greater control over Yahoo’s infrastructure and its indexing of the web.
