Flying Flowers could lose about £250,000 after deciding to move from Jersey to the UK, where it will incur VAT.

The flower delivery business, whose parent company, Flying Brands, is nearly 30 per cent owned by Sir Tom Hunter, the Scottish entrepreneur, said it had made the move to improve the quality and speed of its service.
