Obama plays down G20 rift, reassures China

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama played down suggestions of a rift in the G20 and assured China its US investments were safe Saturday after a meeting with Brazil’s president that also touched on relations in Latin America.

Mr Obama discussed preparations for the upcoming G20 meeting with Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the White House.
